This position is for an established Program Management professional supporting the MA&H Product Line Management team in Cedar Rapids, IA. Initial emphasis is operationally focused on Avionics Display Products, working in conjunction with program managers to lead all activities associated with the successful bid, planning, execution, production, and service support for existing and future MA&H products. This position will also provide the opportunity to grow your Collins Aerospace network across the entire enterprise (MA&H, Business & Regional Avionics, Sales/Marketing, Operations, Services, Contracts, etc.) As an integral member of the product line management team, you will be contributing to the continued success of the business and you will hone the skills required to effectively support the Program Management team in successfully developing and supporting our broad portfolio of avionics products.
Directs all program phases from inception through completion.
Provides support to timely and accurate completion of RFI/RFPs
Ensure that program plans, schedules, and budgets are followed.
Gathers and manages data to monitor program’s progress in terms of cost, schedule, and technical specifications.
Collects, prepares, and presents relevant content for bid activities, bid reviews, program management reviews, EAC Reviews, and design reviews throughout the lifecycle of product developments.
Gathers data and provides inputs to Pre-Execution Program Planning and Decision Point Review artifacts.
Supports Program Managers in ensuring resources such as engineering, engineering support, production, services, facilities, etc. are available for the program.
Coordinates with Operations to track progress toward monthly product output forecasts.
Demonstrates continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.
Identifies and escalates program problems and supports resolutions to ensure the successful completion of programs.
Partners with various functional organizations to achieve alignment with customer program objectives.
Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise on issues. Represents organization as a prime contact on key issues.
Provides direction and oversight to ensure that issues/problems of moderate scope and complexity are avoided and/or resolved.
Responsible for managing projects which are of moderate risk and complexity or a portion of a larger project.
Establishes cost focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets.

Deadline Driven – Last Time Buy notices have hard deadlines and our Enterprise obsolescence process has to get approval meetings accomplished prior to those deadlines, being overdue can mean we do not get the parts we need and production stops.

Must Have Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience; identified skills and experience
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Prior Earned Value Management experience and relevant applications
Prior experience working with Schedulers and Financial Analysts for Integrated Master Schedule updates and financial forecasting associated with product development execution
Prior external customer support/interface experience and awareness of ordering and demand planning tools and practices
Familiar with heritage Rockwell Collins Management Authorization Process (RC-MAP)
Prior Risk Management experience
Prior experience with staffing center
Prior experience tracking and forecasting Customer Repairs and coordinating with order administration
