CDL Transport Driver - Spee-Dee Delivery Service - Cedar Rapids, IA

Responsibilities of a CDL Transport Driver include assisting with the loading/unloading of freight and transporting freight between two company locations or a switch point on a nightly basis. Upon return to the branch, the driver is responsible for fueling and washing the fleet vehicle. Some assistance also may be provided to walk-in customers shipping out packages via our public shipping counters.

Overnight shift: Monday – Friday, 8:30pm start time; This route operates a combination tractor/trailer unit.

Qualified individuals must be able to operate a commercial motor vehicle with a manual transmission, demonstrate good customer service skills and map reading abilities, have a good driving record and possess a valid Class A driver’s license with the doubles endorsement, be at least 21 years of age, and be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen. The physical requirements for this position include lifting 10-20 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds throughout each shift.
