Will develop course materials and present maintenance training and repair courses to internal and external customers in accordance with Collins Aerospace / contract imposed standards. Conduct classroom and lab training for a variety of Collins Aerospace equipment at domestic or international locations. Training may consist of operator, maintenance, and repair for both individual LRU (Line Replaceable Unit), integrated systems and internal development. Responsible for maintaining overall customer satisfaction for training products and services. Will use a variety of training delivery techniques including local classroom, virtual classroom, computer assisted training, and web delivered training. Will participate in the development of routine and advanced training strategies and products.
Work with customer, engineering, technical support, and manufacturing to ensure accurate course material.
Operate various interactive instructional resources and audiovisual equipment.
Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
Forward leads for potential sales to appropriate management.
Work closely with others to accomplish objectives.
Propose, plan, and monitor training programs including complex projects and ‘bundled’ training services.
Interpret customer requirements and propose training solutions.
Serve as consultant or internal spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters related to customer training.
Participate in networks involving coordination among groups of customers, vendors, and internal functional groups.
Manage vendor relationships to fully optimize our training.
Manage the delivery of learning content by understanding various methods of training delivery.
Travel Internationally and domestically as required to support training and training development activities.
Work as part of an interdisciplinary team on a variety of projects including assisting with the development of technical publications and other products.
Perform duties as otherwise assigned.
Work independently on work as assigned.
Read and interpret schematic drawings.
Read and interpret engineering documentation.
Possess a strong understanding of electrical/electronic theory.
Work collaboratively with engineering to develop training materials.
High levels of professionalism required.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience.In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
Must be US Citizen.
Must have the ability to obtain a US DoD Security Clearance.
