Join the Collins Aerospace Avionics team to be a trusted partner in all employee matters, while supporting operational success by partnering with employees and leaders. Employee Relations Consultants must strive to strengthen relationships, develop proactive workplace solutions, provide a balanced perspective, and ensure business continuity and compliance adherence. Integrity and trust are of the utmost importance in this crucial role as well as the ability to practice attentive and active listening and accurately restate the opinions of others. The ability to resolve conflict to satisfaction of both parties is a critical skill required for this role.
This position is a seasoned professional in the Human Resource Generalist discipline who works independently to interpret and explain human resources policies, assist leadership in addressing issues related to performance and recognition, and coordinates with employees regarding intermediate/complex employee relations issues. Assists Total Rewards and Talent Management staff, as needed.
- Coach management on difficult performance discussions, success plans and corrective actions
Conduct and support investigations; drive to closure ensuring compliance and actions are appropriately and professionally managed
Partner with HR Business Partners to highlight Employee Relations trends, concerns and improvement recommendations
Facilitate Employee Relations training and coaching for managers
Conducts investigations and provides inputs to EEOC charge responses
Networks with personnel across HR organization
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
Formal Human Resources (2+ years) experience required
Experience coaching and collaborating with leaders HR issues
Experience with conflict resolution in the work environment and mediating between parties
Interpreting HR policies and consulting employees and leaders on policies Preferred Qualifications
Employee Relations experience preferred
