This position is for a Staff Engineering Services and Support technician who is under moderate supervision. Performs complex technical tasks which contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects. Leads lower level support staff to confer with engineers on details and implications of test procedures and results. May serve as a resource on varied tasks.
Contributes to the development of concepts & techniques.
Completes complex tasks through innovation.
Consistently works on complex assignments requiring self-directed action & a high degree of initiative.
Regularly makes recommendations for new procedures.
Acts independently to determine methods & procedures on new projects.
Acts as facilitator and team lead.
Extensive knowledge in specialized functions of the production processes.
Conducts quality inspections in accordance with quality specifications.
Has the ability to program, maintain and adjust assembly & test equipment.
Holds inspection stamp.
Responsible for configuration control of assemblies lab built.
Responsible for inspections & assembly methods & dissemination of process, method and procedure changes.
Interacts regularly with many levels of the engineering community.
Perform as primary focal point, coordinating, tracking and reporting status of engineering builds.
Serve as a liaison between engineering and techs.
Normally receives little instruction on routine work, general instructions on new projects or assignments.
Responsible for ordering material in MASTER, Ariba, SAP and interfacing with procurement

This position requires either:
An AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.In the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 8 years of relevant experience is required OR
A Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 2 years of relevant experience.
