Role Overview:

This position is for an Instructional System Design (ISD) Technical Product Training professional who will develop multimedia training sessions that include customized components, and communicates with customers, technical organizations and departments to ensure training is thorough and complete. This individual will also provide demonstrations, assists with the development of training aids and materials, and administer tests following training on moderately complex products or modules.


  • Develop technical product training programs for customers, employees, and/or field support personnel.

  • Uses instructional system design methodology to develop technical product training programs for customers.

  • Provides technical training which generally includes standard modules and may also include customized product modules.

  • Maintains contact with customers, technical organizations and engineering departments and researched information on product requirements to ensure understanding of the training programs delivered.

  • Plans and administers programs based on analysis of technical product release and training needs

  • Participates in the development of moderately complex training aids and materials.

  • Conducts training sessions on technical information.

  • Delivers product demonstrations and conducts training sessions on technical information.

  • Administers tests, when required, which accompany moderately complex technical training sessions.

  • Responsible for maintaining quality and consistency of service by documenting and identifying trends in customer service needs.

Additional Responsibilities may include:

  • Managing small projects or processes

  • Support for preparation of bids and proposals

  • May support sales team by notifying other divisions of customer concerns and trends.


  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Ability to obtain US DoD Security clearance (Requires US Citizenship)

  • Ability to work in either Cedar Rapids, Iowa (preferred), Richardson, TX or Orlando, FL

  • Ability to deliver training materials in a classroom setting strongly preferred

  • Experience working with the US military preferred
