Our client is looking to find a great team member to join them as a Rental Assistant for one of their apartment complexes. The Rental Assistant is one of the company’s most visible assets. As part of the company team, you are part of a respected group of professionals. The Rental Assistant gives the first impression to most of our company’s customers.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Sales: Initial contact and follow-up with prospective residents, including the telephone presentation, showing and leasing the apartments, verifying applications, sending follow-up emails and phone calls, telephone and physical comparable market surveys.
  • Customer Service: Taking calls and requests for service from residents, communicating service requests to the proper personnel, assisting the manager in enforcing the community rules, assigning the garages, assisting in rent collections including light bookkeeping, assisting in maintaining a pleasant, friendly and comfortable atmosphere for all residents in their apartments.
  • Clerical: Preparing and maintaining all paperwork involved with current, future and past residents, answering the phone, opening mail, filing, posting rents, preparing notices, lease renewals, maintaining the availability report, maintaining garage assignments, answering emails, social media marketing, general office organization.

Work Schedule: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays (9 am to 5:30 pm) and every other weekend on Saturday and Sunday (11 am to 3 pm).

Days off and occasional schedule changes can usually be accommodated with at least two days advance notice.

No more than 30 hours per week.

Compensation: The rate of pay for this position is DOE per hour plus $50.00 commission on each rental after move-in. Employee’s time cards are filled out accurately daily, and payroll checks are direct deposited every other Friday.

Commission: Rentals eligible for commission are those residents who were initially shown the apartment by the Rental Assistant on their first visit to the property. Commissions are paid in the first paycheck after the qualified applicant has moved in. There are no commissions paid for residents transferring on-site, or on lease terms shorter than six months.

Dress: Professional office attire only, corporate casual or better. Dress slacks, skirts or dresses preferred, dress shoes or dress sandals only. No jeans, shorts, sweatshirts, T-shirts, tank tops athletic shoes, clogs, etc. Any tattoos must be covered and not visible while at work. No facial piercings.

Immediate Supervisor: The Pheasant Run Manager is the Rental Assistant immediate supervisor.
