We’re looking for a motivated self-starter to join a Design Assurance Center (DAC) team that works alongside engineering organizations to enable excellence in project execution and foster continuous improvement throughout the development lifecycle. As a DAC team member, you will perform process assessments, advise the team and its leadership of trends and systemic issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to achieve project objectives.

This position requires that you read and understand Engineering and Quality plans, processes, standards, and requirements documentation; and use these artifacts to assess Engineering compliance. The position also demands the ability to support and meet the demands of multiple simultaneous projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

With the guidance from the Design Assurance Center team, you will:

  • Plan and perform proactive, ongoing assessments to determine the quality health of engineering projects using objective criteria and known best practices.

  • Apply insightful judgment in order to properly assure compliance and assess necessary quality related improvements.

  • Work with Engineering and DAC teams to resolve quality and related compliance issues.

  • Work autonomously with an inquisitive approach on assigned tasks.

  • Analyze project data for trends and systemic issues. Employ methods such as root cause analysis to develop recommended corrective actions and process improvements.

  • Provide guidance to engineering teams as needed to ensure effective project execution.

  • Assist with engineering project planning activities to ensure plans consider program requirements and past lessons learned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree OR

  • In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder


  • Strong communication skills both verbally and writing.

  • Strong customer focus.

  • Possess strong attention to detail.

  • Experience with engineering tools, e.g., JIRA, JAMA, DOORS, PREP, Subversion, PDM, etc, is preferred.

  • Experience with engineering development processes such as peer review, change management, and configuration management is preferred.
