Service & Support, in particular the Military Avionics Services portfolio, continues to be a catalyst for new business growth. Our focus is to support the customer once our products have been fielded. To that end, we are seeking a Principal Program Manager to join our F-35 & Helmet Services Program Team.
Life Cycle Responsibility for products. This includes business pursuit and capture, product development, transition to production, customer delivery and support, and transition out of production. Must coordinate activities across the RCI shared business model; Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, and Service functions. Program complexity is the primary criteria for leveling, and dollar value of programs is secondary.
Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of assigned programs/projects or subsystems of major programs/projects: Direct specific phases of programs/projects from inception through completion
Plans, directs and monitors program budget and serves as primary customer contact for program information. Has responsibility for profit/loss of the program.
Builds strong and extensive working relationships internally and externally.
Has understanding of systems engineering concepts, manufacturing processes, decision point processes and engineering processes.
Provide leadership in the areas of planning and coordination of all functional departments necessary to support pursuits and program execution.
Has primary responsibility for program growth and provides pursuit order capture and program execution expertise for a range of sustainment programs.
Provide support to the Business Development organization in ensuring pursuit activities are consistent with the overall business strategy.
Identifies and develops solutions to a variety of complex problems.
Understands the industry and customer.
Ensures that all required resources such as engineering, engineering support, production, services, facilities and the like are available for the program.
Responsible for managing a program which is of moderate risk and complexity or portions of larger programs. Typically responsible for programs between $25-$50M (total program) or key strategic program with long term revenue potential of $25-50M within 5-10 years.
Responsible for risk management of the program.
Works with some supervision. Supports program status reviews to executive level on occasion.
The position requires demonstrated leadership skills with a proven track record of meeting objectives and satisfying customer requirements.
The individual is expected to operate with the highest level of attention to adherence to Collins Standards of Business Conduct
Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience
