We are seeking a highly motivated, talented Operations Manager who has the desire to lead and coach multiple manufacturing teams. In this role you will be responsible for product specific build schedule attainment to ensure overall customer success. Additionally, you will manage a team of professionals along with providing direction to skilled production employees, as well as leading area employee engagement, safety, quality and continuous improvement efforts. You will also have the opportunity to manage projects that are critical to our success.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Address employee issues/concerns and motivate the workforce to achieve department goals.

  • Strategize and design production plans, balancing tactical and strategic demands considering product introduction, equipment efficiency, materials supply constraints, schedules and staffing requirements to meet operational objectives and business unit goals

  • Directs the development and implementation of activities in production areas to ensure timely, high quality production at the lowest cost consistent with the quality requirements

  • Serves as primary champion for quality improvement, ACE and Six Sigma programs at the sites – accountable for reduction of inventory, cost and waste – improves productivity by implementing best practices.

  • Ensure adherence and execution to all EHS policies and procedures.

  • Leads cost reduction and process improvement efforts to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.

  • Assists in scheduling and demand planning and forecasting.

  • Monitors operations performance to maximize productivity.

  • Assists in production innovation, continuous improvement, to enhance production capabilities.

  • Interfaces with customers (internal and external) to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of services.

  • Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations functions.

  • Delegate effectively to develop personnel and effectively balance the workload

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR

  • Advance degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven Leadership experience

  • Manufacturing experience and working with scheduling tools

  • Technical Background

  • A background with Continuous Improvement

  • Strong network or ability to build network (IBEW, Quality, Production Teams)

  • Ability to attract and retain and develop good talent

  • Strategic thinker able to build vision, communicate, gain buy in and lead change management
